We are proud to announce new strategic partnerships with MyBnk, Empatico, and Skills Builder for our Education provision. These partnerships are focussed on enhancing our successful Get Set! courses, empowering students aged 14 β 19+ to gain the essential skills they need for their career, while also supporting them to develop the essential life, financial, and human skills they need for their futures.
Specialised in helping students gain financial literacy and confidence, MyBnk works with young people to create and deliver high impact and high energy programmes covering topics such as saving, budgeting, debt and public and student finance.
Empatico works with students to help them develop their human skills through their Empathy Framework. Focussing on three dimensions, Empatico provides resources and guides to help students gain empathetic skills through emotions, thoughts, and actions.
Building on our Get Set! framework further, Skills Builder is a global movement of employers, educators and impact organisations working to together to ensure all students have the skills they need to succeed. This includes essential skills such as listening, speaking, problem solving, creativity, staying positive, aiming high, leadership and teamwork.
Students undertaking a Get Set! course with Nacro Education will be able to study and learn these skills as part of their course, alongside maths and English GCSEs, work placement opportunities, employability skills and enrichment activities.
Laura Ellis, Area Manager South and Wales from MyBnk said:
βMyBnk are very excited to start this fantastic national partnership with Nacro Education, we will be delivering our financial literacy workshops to nearly 1500 students enrolled at Nacro Education and Totton College. Our one-day workshop will be delivered to small groups of students stretching our reach from Newcastle to Hampshire. Empowering the students with new skills in budgeting, borrowing, income and how to safely use their money. This is a great opportunity for all the students to increase their financial literacy with MyBnk as part of their course at Nacro Education. We will be ensuring all the students receive the same knowledge and skills across the country. Our fun interactive sessions are designed to really engage the students in relevant and up to date information that they can practically use in their current lives and help them build a good financial future.β
Elise Temple, Director and Principal of Nacro Education said: βWeβre proud of our new partnerships with MyBnk, Empatico, and SkillsBuilder. At Nacro Education, we work with a broad range of students who have either struggled in mainstream education, not found the right path for them, or are keen to get their career started with vocational learning. These partnerships allow us to offer a tailored and diverse student experience, designed to prepare them for their future.β
Alex Townsend, Assistant Principal Performance, Improvement & Innovation said: βThese partnerships allow us to enhance our curriculum offer and provide students with a unique experience compared to other institutions. We offer vocational pathways that allow students to apply the skills they learn in a practical way, meaning theyβre more confident with understanding themselves and others, financially independent and money literate, and have the skills employers are actively seeking.β
With Education Centres across the country, students are still able to apply to Nacro Education for this September. For more information see your local Nacro Education Centre.
