Student highly commended for Royal Opera House set design

Published:

A talented Nacro student has won a highly commended prize for his set design. The Royal Opera House Design Challenge is a competition open to schools and college to give students and learners the opportunity to develop their design skills based around an opera. The learners were given a real design brief from a director to help shape and create their designs. All the young people were expected to produce a portfolio of their process and their final piece.
The prize for our student, known as DBS, will be a tour of the studios where the costumes, scenery and sets are made for the Royal Opera House, and he will be awarded a certificate. Here are some images of his final piece and the portfolio.
