Nacro Education has just been awarded Ofsted Good. Nacro Education is one of the UK’s largest independent training providers, helping 1700 students and apprentices every year, empowering them to develop the personal and professional skills employers are actively seeking.

Nacro Education, offers vocational courses alongside English and maths qualification including GCSEs, it is open to all young people but its smaller class sizes and more personalised support often appeals to those who have struggled in mainstream education or have additional support needs.

The Ofsted report said: “Many learners start with significant barriers. Staff support them to enjoy and value their studies, including subjects like English and mathematics where many learners had previously had negative experiences.”

Elise Temple, Principal & Director of Education and Skills said: “This Ofsted result represents all the hard work and commitment our education team put in every day. They don’t just teach subjects, they do so much more. They build confidence, break down barriers, and help our students see the bright future they deserve. I am incredibly proud of everyone who works for Nacro Education and what we achieve every day for our students and apprentices.”

Ofsted noted: “Leaders develop ambitious curriculums to prepare learners and apprentices with the skills they need to succeed in both their work and personal lives. Younger apprentices mature and become role models in their workplace. Staff ensure employers are actively involved in apprentices’ progress reviews. These reviews effectively coordinate on- and off-the-job training, allowing apprentices to practice classroom learning in the workplace. This results in apprentices quickly developing skills employers value.”

Nacro Education still have places available for courses with September start dates.
