We are concerned by the recent riots and violence taking place across the country over the last week. These actions are fundamentally opposed to Nacro’s values, and we strongly condemn any violence.
We work in many of the communities affected and we are monitoring the situation closely to ensure we do everything we can to keep our service users, students and staff safe. We know that some of you will be feeling worried and vulnerable at this time and our priority is to support all of our service users and students as best we can, through this period.
Nacro is an organisation that believes everyone deserves a second chance and everyone should be supported to reach their potential. Anyone, from any culture, background or race, is welcome in our homes and services, and we will always do our upmost to support you.
What you should do if you need help and support
As one of our service users, students, or a member of our team, should you feel that you are at immediate risk or have an emergency you should call the police on 999. Please also be advised:
- For non-urgent support, please reach out to your nominated housing worker or support worker.
- If you are a Nacro service user or student aged over 16 you can also access a free confidential support line on 0800 028 0199. This service provides 24/7 wellbeing support and your call will be handled by an experienced therapist or adviser.
