Ministry of Justice and HMPPS have released their quarterly statistics on the criminal justice system, covering topics such as changes in the prison population, reoffending, substance misuse treatment and self-harm in custody.
2022 looks set to be our busiest policy and campaigning year yet as we build on a successful 2021 which included: securing accommodation funding for prison leavers at risk of homelessness, an increased discharge grant and more progress in our ambition to significantly reduce Friday prison releases. As always, our work was driven, and will continue to be driven, by the views of our service users and staff across the country.

At the end of 2021, we underwent an assessment of our organisation-wide Information Advice and Guidance Services (IAG) against the matrix Standard, an international quality standard for organisations that deliver information, advice and/or guidance either as their sole purpose or as part of their service offering. We are pleased to confirm that we have retained our matrix Standard accreditation for another three years.
