Helen began her career working in youth offending and in 2013 joined Nacro to manage young people’s custodial resettlement services, gang exit services, and prevention services in London. Helen has since held the role of Head of Justice & Health, Director of Justice & Health and Business Development, and since 2024 Helen has been Director of Support and Advice services, responsible for Community Rehabilitative Services, delivery in prisons, substance misuse services and supported housing services.

After starting her career working in Parliament, Helen has spent the majority of her career in the voluntary sector working to improve policy and practice for disadvantaged young people and adults. Prior to Nacro, Helen worked at children’s charities Save the Children and 4Children and women’s charity Platform 51.

Andrea Coady is Nacro’s Head of Policy and Service User Involvement. She works directly with our service users, ensuring their views and experiences shape our campaigns and services and highlight problems and solutions in the system. She has previously been interviewed by ITV, GB News and The Telegraph amongst others. She is a member of the Independent Monitoring Board at HMP Highdown and previously worked for The Magistrates’ Association after a career in law.
