Working closely with the Boston community
We work within our community, establishing partnerships and helping bring the local area closer together. Because of our partnerships, every student has the chance to take part in valuable work experience and engage with a number of localised businesses.
Shining a light on our courses
At Nacro Boston Education Centre, we offer additional courses to all of our learners, giving multiple opportunities to expand their CVs.
Boston Careers Fair
The Boston Career Fair is an event run by Department for Work and Pensions, and we have a partnership where our students are able to get involved in the management and operational side of the event. Each year, over 50 employers attend, with students having the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the event. From planning, support set-up of stands, assisting attendees, to creating promotional materials. Providing a fantastic opportunity to develop your communication, leadership and project management skills.
National Careers Week
At Nacro Boston Education Centre we give you the opportunity to meet with local and national employers, in the industries you’re most interested in. As part of National Careers Week, we host internal events and arrange work experiences so you can discuss your career ambitions and goals with employers, and gain the employability skills to build your CV.
Employers we have worked with include: Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, Nestle, Althaus, Poly Pipe, and Rachel France (Bio-Mechanics).
