Duke of Edinburgh Award
We help facilitate the Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE) at Greater Manchester Outdoor Learning, a youth award program challenging young people aged 14-24 to develop skills and overcome obstacles. Our team can help set young people up with volunteering and other outdoor activities at our centre as well as preparing and taking them on the expedition.
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award offers a personal challenge through its balanced programme of activities. Young people are encouraged to support people in the community who need it, acquire new skills and experience adventure. It is non-competitive, being based on individual improvement and achievement, reflecting personal choice, initiative and perseverance and in some cases, leadership."Richard McEvoy, Outdoor Learning & The DofE Award Manager
