We know how difficult this can be and the toll it can take on your mental health and finances. But you don’t have to face this alone.

There are a range of Christmas grants and support schemes available from dedicated organisations who are there to support families, individuals and those in need during the Christmas period.

Learn more about the schemes and organisations below.

As a single parent, you can apply for a grant from Gingerbread if you’re on a low income and struggling with money. Grants don’t have to be paid back, and they won’t affect your benefits. They can be used for one-off things, like a school uniform, a broken washing machine, disability equipment or studying a course. They can also go towards everyday living costs, like food shopping or paying the bills.
