What Nacro Does
We help thousands of people every year through our housing services, including those who face homelessness after prison (ex-offenders) as well as young people, care leavers, women and ex-service personnel, to prevent rough sleeping.

Criminal Record Support Service (CRSS)
Our Criminal Record Support Service helps people who have a criminal record with information about how to apply for housing, and other areas of living with a criminal record such as finding a job and travel.
Why having a home to go to is important after prison
Without a stable home to go to after being released, prisoners are being set up to fail. If you come out of prison with nowhere to go it is virtually impossible to maintain any progress people have made in prison to: move away from substance abuse, get and keep a job, or build healthy positive relationships.
Those who have come out of prison without a home can experience mental health issues such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety.

Changes to Friday prison releases start from 30th November
Following our End Friday Releases campaign, releases from prison on a Friday will end in the majority of cases from the middle of December.
